The Team
Kaki Culture Community Club Inc was founded upon the vision to foster new connections, support and strengthen community spirit within the Singaporean and Malaysian diaspora in Melbourne Victoria - through events which look to bring a slice of “home” away from home, to our community.
SG x MY Fest is led by an all-volunteer team, each of whom have dedicated significant personal time, effort and resources to put this huge event together.
We are also looking for assistance in the areas below. If you enjoy making things happen, we would like to hear from you!
Kevin Lim Event Co-ordinator
With a vision for building things which are meaningful, Kevin brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. Despite living in Australia for over 26 years, he still recalls his formative years in Singapore with fondness and appreciation. He enjoys providing communities with opportunities to bond over shared stories, music, memories and experiences. Having two locally-born boys has reinforced the importance and value of educating the younger generation of our heritage and roots. Kevin was also the event co-ordinator for the SG60@Mel event in 2025.
Outside of running his own architectural design practice, Kevin is a keen footballer, musician, songwriter, producer and 4wd off-roading enthusiast.

Originally from Malaysia and now calling Australia home for almost six years, I am an entrepreneur who is passionate about bringing people and communities together.
Through the Malaysia Singapore Sikh Association (MSSA) in Wyndham, we recently launched "Tarian Tradisional Melayu" to celebrate and share our rich cultural heritage. I am part of this event because I hope to strengthen the ties between Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia by sharing our culture, food, values, and spirit of community. I believe that when we connect through understanding and love, we build stronger and more vibrant communities for everyone. Malaysia Singapore Boleh!
Kaylee Treasurer & Prizes
Kaylee is from Singapore and first came to Australia on a work and holiday (mostly holiday to be honest). One thing led to another, and she's now based here full-time, working her corporate girlie job.
As for how she ended up on this committee, it all started with a random chat with someone behind her at last year's SG60 event while standing in a long queue for food (what's new!). That conversation turned into a friendship she's really grateful for - shout-out to Lynette, who's also part of this committee!
She's hoping that someone attending this year’s event might have a similar experience, whether it's making a new friend, finding a new community, or simply meeting people they wouldn't have crossed paths with otherwise.
